This is a nice addition to my toolset as I work with some remodeling tasks around the house. Really seems accurate too. I did take some sandpaper and lightly sand the edges of the blades as they felt too sharp and they could easily do some damage if careless. Now they feel perfect and it works great.

I use this protractor to set the angle of the blade on my table saw and also to set the miter gauge for cutting segments. I have had no error in the angle so far in cutting these segments. Great tool and accurate to the tenth degree.

I wish I had bought this item when I first started building my cabin instead of at the end. It is so much more useful for things in addition to measuring angles. Good quality, easy to read, appears that it will last for years and will be good value for the dollar. I liked it so much I bought a second one for my brother as a gift. Now I look forward to using it in the shop and around the house.

I used it for home projects, and for that application its accuracy and quality is excellent. I d be hesitant to recommend for use in cases where extreme accuracy is needed (R&D projects dealing with machine design, precision instrumentation, or professional quality environments, etc)only because I ve not tested the accuracy that far. But for figuring out carpentry cut angles, it s excellent.

I have to say, I was skeptical, but I really am impressed. I zeroed it out on a surface plate and checked it against my Starrett combination square head and it was dead nuts at 45 and 90 degrees. I opened it completely and checked it against the flatness of the surface plate and it was dead on 180. Will update if anything changes.

This is a great digital ruler. Prior to purchasing this ruler I had setup my 10 inch miter saw with a speed square and believed that I had the fence to blade set perfectly at 90 degrees but with each cut the joint was slightly off, hence the need for the digital ruler. Within three minutes (removal of packaging and insertion of the battery) I found that my fence to blade setup was at 89 degrees and that was the cause of the slight gap in my cuts.

I was struggling to get the angles right on a project and ran across this item. It is nicely made, and made the project easier. I used some scraps of wood to make a nice case for it with a hand router. It came in a plastic case and that was the only disappointing thing really. It is a nice tool. I d hoped for a nice protective case. Still, it was a good value and it took me less than 20 minutes and some scraps to create one.

When I first saw this item , I figured I d give it a try. For the price, I wasnt expecting too much, but it definitely exceeded my expectations. It seems to be relatively accurate (measured against T-Square and protractor). The only thing that takes getting used to is that it turns on when you move it, so can be tricky putting it away without turning it on (although I think it has auto power off, so probably isn t too big of a problem). Overall it s a great tool for a decent price.

Bought this for our homeschoolers when they were studying geometry and frustrated with the ordinary protractors that were good enough for their dad and me when we were their age and forced to walk to government school uphill (both ways). Naturally, they like this device better than all the other protractors combined, and my only regret is that I didn t buy it sooner. Five stars for an excellent tool that allows for unprecedented accuracy.?

Simple, precise and fast. I like the locking action on the hinge, a short twist locks it snug. The zero/tare function is simple and intuitive, using positive and negative angles. It can also be zero d to odd acute/obtuse angles, eliminating the math involved. Inexpensive and reliable so far. I ve tested against my truest squares and it s been on the nuts each time.

This is a really nice little digital protractor. I bought this for measuring angles for moulding and trim in our build. Much like a digital caliper, you align the two sides of the ruler and tare the reading too.

As far as accuracy, this is really an accurate tool. A full 360 spin will get it out by about 0.1 degrees, which then zeros back out on a return spin. 1/10 of a degree out of 360 is about 0.03% error - which for anything a human is going to be designing, cutting or assembling is far more accuracy than you are going to end up with.

So I am a real stickler for accuracy and was setting up my Delta table saw and fence. I was using a machinist s square and was really not thrilled with the results I was getting. I bought this and it arrived quickly and I started checking all of my settings. This was sooo much better than using an ordinary square! You can check the square and if it s off 1/10th of a degree then tweak it and it s dead on from then on! I squared my blade to the table, checked the opposite side and it was perfect! Checked and squared my fence, miter gauge, and splitter. Then I made some cuts and checked those - DEAD ON!! I wish I d found this thing years ago! Buy it!
