I m a beginner whittler and this set is great to start out! I would recommend to watch their tutorial videos before hand because these knives are VERY SHARP. Had an accident but lived to tell the tale.

I ve been working with this set for over a month now. I absolutely love the curved chip knife. It has a bit of a learning curve compared to a whittling knife but it s great for removing the perfect amount of wood. I use it in a forward & reverse grip. Both ways are comfortable, the reverse grip gives you so much more control. Highly recommended!

I received this kit as a gift and I couldn t be happier. I guess my wife heard me saying I need something like that while we were watching bushcraft videos. All of the knives are comfortable in my hand even after carving away a wood blank for a couple hours.
Now I need to pick up the strop paddle, I do not even know where to begin in stropping the hook knife.

The package was well packed and included a canvas tool roll for protection of the carving tools. All of the knives were sharp and ready to use. Also include is a leather strop and compound to keep your tools sharp. Overall a very good value on a very capable set. I have enjoyed using these tools on both spoons and some chip carving.

I have previously bought the Beaver Craft spoon kit and loved it. I used to whittle with my pocket knives but the constant sharpening and inconsistency of the knives always harmed my work. I got this set a few days ago and have already made a few figurines. Next is a Lewis Chessman Chess set. Wish me luck.

This was a gift for my 12yr old son to get him outside and off electronics. My daughter likes it too. Easy to handle and comes with a nice cloth wrap holder which others didn t have when I was shopping around. Worth the extra money to have a wrap it up and to store it while not in use. I would recommend this for a beginner

I m learning to carve small caricatures. Knives hold an edge for quite a while and easy to hone. Love the band-aids included with the set, along with the strop and compound.

This is a great set of knives. Very sturdy, love the storage roll it comes with. The knives are extremely sharp, don t learn the hard way like I did and buy some cut resistant gloves, especially if you re just starting. Great reliable set, would recommend to anyone looking to get started.

I bought these for my boyfriend and he loves them. He had been using a pocket knife, but had a nice set before. They seem to be well made, and I haven t heard any complaints from him, so I would say it s worth it.

So far I ve used 2 of the 3 knives. They cut smooth and hold their edge. It s convenient to have a strop with the knives. I strop them after each use and they have been cutting smooth through multiple projects.
